How to shred guitar
"Shredding" the guitar can be a lengthly process of frustration and even more frustration, not being able to sync your fret hand with the pick hand is a typical problem I had, I'm still trying hard to perfect the art of shredding and always will be trying to improve my technique
I know it's not what you want to hear, but starting slow is the key, it was for me and will be for yourself, you want to slow the metronome right down and run through some scales or guitar licks,
Doing this will help with the muscle memory in your hands thus helping you sync both fretting and picking accurately, when comfortable speed up the metronome
